The Bhadla 400 MW Solar Carbon Project is a Gold Standard-certified utility-scale renewable energy project located in Rajasthan, India. Developed by SB Energy (SoftBank), the 400 MW solar photovoltaic facility generates approximately 733 GWh of clean electricity annually and avoids an estimated 694,471 tonnes of CO₂e each year by displacing fossil fuel-based electricity on India's coal-dependent grid. As one of the world's largest Gold Standard-certified solar projects, it provides verified carbon credits that represent one tonne of CO₂e avoided per credit.
Beyond reducing greenhouse gas emissions, the project delivers important social and community benefits through initiatives such as firefighting training, medical camps, anti-tobacco awareness programs, and the installation of street lighting to improve road safety in surrounding communities.
